Hi – my name is Lyn Hughes
Firstly, I must advise that I am unfortunately no longer able to provide dog walking. I apologise for this inconvenience but you can however be assured that Always Best Home & Pet Minding will provide your pets with loving care and attention during our visits. I firmly believe the service we provide is a favoured option over dog kennels or cattery boarding. Our services are particularly cost effective when you have multiple pets, as our charges are per visit and not by the number of pets. We can of course also take care of pets that can’t normally be boarded, including those on medication.
I established Always Best Home & Pet Minding in Geraldton in 2008 and have operated in Perth since 2012. Throughout my life I’ve been associated with pets of many kinds, including aviary birds, chickens, ducks, cats and dogs and I even once had a milking goat named Kylie. Through family associations there have also been rabbits, guinea pigs and aquarium fish. Since operating pet minding, I can now add ferrets, crazy crabs, exotic birds and Koi to the list. I haven’t yet had horses or reptiles but will consider under advice of owners.
With our quality home and pet care your cherished pets will remain in the comfort of their own home and the security at your residence may be improved by our regular visits. My husband often accompanies me on weekends. He too has past associations with pets – particularly cats and dogs – and he loves helping with the home and pet visits. We are mature, responsible people who take a professional approach to the minding assignments.
Providing this service has given us great satisfaction. We’ve had the pleasure of caring for a large variety of pets and meeting many lovely people. Trusting relationships have developed with returning clients, which has provided them with greater confidence when away from home because they know we are reliable and caring.
On a personal note – my husband Neil and I have four sons who are grown and independent with families of their own and we have ‘a whole bunch’ of grandchildren. In December 2015 we sadly said goodbye to our adorable old Boxer dog named Sarge. He was fourteen, with a few health issues. His time had come. Very sadly missed. RIP Sarge.
